Love Scene Improvisations

1970 was a busy year for Jerry Garcia. He released Workingman's Dead and American Beauty with The Grateful Dead. His mother had passed away that September. Not to mention the constant touring that was the Grateful Dead machine. Yet he still found time to record a few songs for The Zabriskie Point Soundtrack. I actually think these songs were recorded in 1969 and released in 1970 since the album was released in January. To be honest I have never watched the movie. The few people that have actually seen it told me it was bad. The soundtrack is the exact opposite. I decided to listen to some of the Jerry Garcia tracks to fall asleep to. Needless to say that didn't work and here I am writing about these tracks and uploading them for you guys. I am really taken by the beauty of these tracks. If there is anything out there that is more beautiful that he has played please let me know. There might be a Crazy Fingers solo or something of the like, but these songs are just Jerry and a guitar. No singing, no band, no filler. A friend of mine asked me to upload these a while ago and I forgot all about that. Derf's reasoning was the rarity of this music and the beauty of these.
